Create a named view for the current task
An ordinary filter can change how other collaborators see a shared sheet. The source describes using a filter view instead, created through the Data menu, to analyze a subset without changing everyone else's view. Give the view a recognizable name and check its range before adding conditions. This is useful when different people need to examine the same underlying table for different purposes at the same time.
Combine conditions and leave the view cleanly
Within the view, use the column controls to choose values or define conditions such as a numeric threshold. Additional column conditions can refine the result further. Closing the view returns to the broader display without deleting the source records. The key distinction is personal analysis versus changing the shared presentation. A named filter view also makes the intended selection easier to identify when it is needed again later.
